Scholarship and Financial Assistance

PSC offers a variety of scholarships and fellowships designed to help you and your family pay for university. Scholarships and grants are types of gift aid that do not have to be repaid. They may take the form of University scholarships, federal or state grants, or outside scholarships.

Scholarships Criteria

Merit based scholarships are awarded at the time of admission while the need based financial assistance can be requested during the course of study only in exceptional circumstances. Some awards, however, are based on the academic performance during a semester but double awards are not given. The detail about all types of awards is given here under for the information of the students.

Merit Scholarships:

Developing the human resource to contribute positively towards society is what PSC aims at. Merit-based awards are granted to those bright students who are best able to achieve that aim. These awards are made according to the admissions merit list.

Need Based Scholarships:

The student desirous of need-based financial assistance will apply on the Financial Assistance Form and will submit it to Office of the Registrar/Additional Registrar.

Financial Assistance Committee considers all applications for need-based assistance in the light of evidence submitted in its regular bi-annual meetings. The Financial Assistance Officer informs applicants about the outcome of their applications through emails. He/she also prepares a list of applicants who have been granted assistance and dispatches the prepared list to the Office of the Treasurer for keeping the list in their records.

Special Scholarship for Orphans:

At The Reader Group of Colleges Orphans are entitled to a special scholarship . Those who have lost their fathers, they can apply under this category.

Afternoon Programmes:

Programs that are being offered to students in Afternoon hours at PSC, it is another opportunity for students to avail 50% discount on fee and get quality education without any financial constraint. Furthermore, all the scholarship categories mentioned above can equally be applied on all Afternoon programs for students studying in Afternoon classes.
